Parenting Classes Offered at Burgundy
Do you wonder how to raise your children to be responsible, respectful and trustworthy—all while getting dinner on the table? Do you worry about cyberspace, peer pressure and other facts of modern life? Parenting, while it brings much joy, is hard work.
Once again, we are offering on campus parenting classes through the Parent Encouragement Program (PEP). PEP's parenting classes help parents learn to understand children's behavior, how to use positive discipline to build mutual respect and cooperation, and know what to do when they're stuck. I have, along with several Burgundy parents, have taken these courses and they are highly compatible with the mission and philosophy of our school as well as being extremely helpful.
The first workshop we are offering is free and open to the public. It focuses on strategies that you can employ to help your children listen to you. Then we will offer a 3-session course (also open to the public) that is more intensive and covers a range of issues for parents of 5-12 year olds. Parents who sign up by October 14 receive a $50 discount. Click HERE for more information.
