The Annual Fall Fair at Burgundy Farm Country Day School
It's back to school, back to books, back to farm, friends and ... the Fair! The Fall Fair is a fun, festive way to celebrate our community while also raising money for student financial aid. One of Burgundy's longest-standing traditions, the Fall Fair attracts hundreds of visitors each year and depends on support from current families, alumni families, alumni and special friends.
Here's our a defining statement for the Fall Fair:
Burgundy's annual Fall Fair is always a fun day for our community! Fair proceeds support financial aid, but the event's main purpose is as a "friendraiser," not a fundraiser. The Fall Fair is a homecoming event for our alumni and their families, a casual way for neighbors and prospective families to get to know Burgundy, and a celebration of community with current families and friends!
The 2018 Fall Fair is scheduled for Saturday, October 13, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The Fall Fair is coordinated through Burgundy's Advancement Office. Allison Niedbala can help with any questions. There are lots of ways to get involved:
We ask each of our current parents to donate at least one hour of time at the Fall Fair to ensure it is fun and successful for everyone. Each class is assigned an area to manage and we also ask our Middle School students to volunteer. Locate in the table below the appropriate "volunteer type" for you and click on the associated event to sign up for a time.

Donate Items We depend on Burgundy parents and friends to donate the following:
- Kids' Closet: Gently used kids' clothes and toys. We cannot accept electronics, car seats, helmets, pajamas, bathing suits or underwear.
- Used Book Sale: Children's books of all types; adult fiction, and adult non-fiction in these categories: cookbooks, travel (2010 to now), art/coffee table books, self-help/parenting. Media, including CDs of audible books or music, and family friendly DVDs. (We cannot accept VHS and cassette tapes, encyclopedias, textbooks or damaged books.)
- Games: Gently used/new stuffed animals for a new game called Adopt-a-Pet.
Donation drop off starts Monday, October 1 and ends Friday, October 12. Bring all donations to the Logan Loft porch. We are happy to provide a receipt for tax deductions and this is a great opportunity to clean out your closets, attic, or basement!
We'd love to add your homemade goodies to the Bake Sale. Looking for a family activity? Kids love to bake and decorate. Many baked goods freeze well, so it's not too soon to get started. Questions? Contact Bake Sale Co-Chair Rebecca Signer Roche.
We sell individually packaged nut-free cookies, cupcakes, brownies and other goodies. We will handle pricing, and we encourage festive decorations! Please label and identify your sweets.
Donation drop off on Thursday and Friday, October 11 and 12. Bring baked goods to the Admission Office or drop off at morning carpool. You can also bring them directly to the Bake Sale on the day of the Fair.
Enjoy delicious food, live music, games and prizes, a zombie run, pumpkin painting, face painting, and more! Admission is free, but most activities require tickets, which can be purchased ahead of the Fair or at the event. The Food Tent, Bake Sale, Book Sale, Burgundy Mart, Artisan Mart and Kids' Closet are cash sales. Alumni, be sure to stop by the Library to reconnect with friends and faculty, and be part of the Alumni Photo at 1:00 p.m. (details to come).
