Artist Alum Visits Campus
Alumnus Evan Kuester '04 was back on campus this week, talking to all students at the all school meeting, and then continuing the conversation with Middle School students. While at Burgundy, Evan appreciated the encouragement he got to pursue his passion -- his interest in art, and after attending TC Williams went on to the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD). While at SCAD, as a class project Evan designed a three-dimensional printed hand for a classmate who was born without one, and the attention given to that project led him to a job with 3D Systems, an international corporation that provides 3D products and services. Evan's career lets him pair his passion for art with the technical expertise of engineering. He encouraged the students to identify and work to solve the problems they see around them.
