8th Grade Musical "Hairspray Jr." Performance Party Enrichment!
Attention, parents! Is your student interested in seeing the upcoming 8th grade musical, Hairspray Jr.? Extended Day is offering a unique opportunity for interested students to see this amazing show on Thursday, May 16, by participating in the Hairspray Jr. Performance Party Enrichment! Please read on below for details regarding this fun and exciting, one-day enrichment program, and click on the registration link to sign up your students.
(There are a limited number of spaces for this program so make sure to register your child(ren) right away to secure their spot!)
This program will take place on Thursday, May 16 from school dismissal until the end of the Hairspray Jr. performance at 6:15 pm. Students will be checked in immediately after school is over for the day, have a pizza party and opportunity to play on the playground, and then be escorted to and supervised during the 8th grade performance of Hairspray Jr. Parents will pick up their student(s) at the end of the show at the Theater/Community Room in the Logan Loft.
What: Hairspray Jr., the 8th grade musical
When: Thursday, May 16 directly after school
- Pizza party and playtime from 3:15-4:20 pm
- 8th grade musical, Hairspray Jr., performance from 4:30-6:00 pm
*Pick-up takes place in the Logan Loft at the Theater/Community Room in the balcony section at 6:15 pm.
**Parents will be asked to check in with an Ex Day staff member in the balcony section so they can sign out their student(s).

About the Musical:
The Class of 2019 is preparing for their final dramatic presentation at Burgundy, the 8th grade musical, with their production of Hairspray Jr. by Thomas Meehan, Mark O’Donnell, Marc Shaiman, and Scott Wittman. The Class of 2019 includes dancers, singers, advocates, and activists. Hairspray Jr. is a musical that showcases all of these interests and talents with catchy songs, large group dances, and an inspiring message for change! With this production, the 8th grade class speaks out for what is right, just, and good in our world.
