Ways to Give
Donations may be made in cash, or by check, credit card or stock. Gifts may be made with a credit card online via our secure server by clicking here. Donors may pledge at any time and pay the pledge by the end of the fiscal year. The fiscal year is from 1 July – 30 June.
Many corporations support their employees' charitable contributions through matching gift programs. This kind of corporate support makes a significant contribution to Burgundy as it can double or triple the size of your gifts.
Please contact your employer's human resources department for information on matching gifts to schools.
Donating Stocks to Burgundy
The following information is necessary when donating stocks to Burgundy. Donors are required to sign an authorization with their broker to donate stocks.

Please call Burgundy’s Advancement Office at 703.960.1115 to advise that a stock transfer is underway, as well as confirming the name of the stock and the number of shares to insure that your gift is properly acknowledged.
Matching Gifts
Donors who work for a company that matches employee gifts can increase the impact of their personal contribution and increase funds raised for Burgundy by filling out the a matching gift request form obtained from their employer. Please check with your company’s Human Resources department to see if your company participates in a matching gift program.
United Way/Combined Federal Campaign
Donors who work for the government or an organization that participates in a United Way/Combined Federal Campaign may make charitable contributions to Burgundy through their workplace, either as a direct gift or through payroll deduction. Tax regulations require Burgundy to receive all pledges in writing. Please fill out a pledge envelope and send a copy of the UW/CFC payroll deduction form to the Advancement Office.
Burgundy’s United Way number is 8380 and the new CFC number is 15325.
Bequests and Estate Planning
Gifts of stock, property or cash through bequests and estate planning provide for Burgundy’s long-term future and may provide tax advantages for donors. Members of the Burgundy community are invited to join the Founders Circle, our bequest society.
Other Types of Financial Support
- Grants from family foundations and corporate matching gifts augment the Annual Fund.
- Designated funds support the Burgundy Center for Wildlife Studies.
- Schoolpop.com designates a portion of online sales to Burgundy when a parent or friend registers online and makes purchases with Burgundy as their school of choice. Burgundy’s ID# is 0146812.
- Giant and Safeway offer giving opportunities using their shopper’s cards with Burgundy as the designated school. Sign up for Safeway Club Card for Education online at www.escrip.com, in person at your local Safeway, or by contacting the Advancement Office. Parents and friends must designate Burgundy annually - sign up in September. Sign up for Giant Food A+ Bonus Bucks online at www.giantfood.com or in person at your local Giant store. Funds raised go directly to Burgundy’s Annual Fund.
