Capital and Planned Giving

Capital Gifts to Burgundy serve a specific purpose beyond the time of the initial gift. Endowed funds support the academic curriculum, students and faculty.

The school has three endowed funds: the Scholarship Endowment Fund, to support financial aid for qualified students; the Faculty Excellence Fund, to support continuing education and professional growth of faculty; and the General Endowment Fund. Gifts may be directed to the endowment funds at any time during the year.

Legacy Fund

The Eighth Grade Legacy Fund is an annual fundraising effort by the parents of the graduating class to leave a commemorative gift to Burgundy. Projects are chosen in consultation with the Director of Advancement and the Head of School and memorialized by a plaque mounted at the project site.

Founders Circle

Burgundy Farm Country Day School’s Founders Circle recognizes those individuals who have chosen to include Burgundy in their estate plans. Although these gifts may not come to fruition for many years, the Founders Circle is a wonderful way to provide a solid foundation for the school’s fiscal health, while at the same time ensuring that future generations of students will benefit from a Burgundy education.

An added benefit of a planned gift is that it may reduce your income tax and estate tax.
