Transportation and Extended Day

Many Burgundy families share car pool responsibilities. We are happy to provide newly enrolled families with contact information for neighboring Burgundy families to help you organize transportation. Burgundy also offers bus service from Washington D.C., Maryland, and Northern Virginia. Below is a list of sample bus routes and times.

Though bus stops can change based on ridership each year, we hope this will help you find a route that compliments your commute and schedule.

We attempt to accommodate Burgundy families by adding necessary stops where possible. New and younger students can be assigned an older student as their “Bus Buddy” to help them transition to riding the bus.

The bus routes listed below are only for the current school year.

Extended Day

Burgundy’s Extended Day offers a dynamic program, an excellent student-teacher ratio, and a well-trained and nurturing staff. The program is also offered from 8:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on most school holidays.

The Extended Day program provides homework time, organized games, arts and crafts projects, snack, and free play, as well as additional, specialized enrichment activities at an additional cost. Enrichment activities may include gymnastics, kid’s yoga, soccer clinics, piano, and karate. Students are divided by age for appropriate activities.

Our flexible program offers full-time and/or holiday enrollment, as well as daily drop-in care.
